So I went to see this on Friday.
I give it 5 out of 10.
It was OK, but not great, and not worth paying to see again in the theater.
I did not like the multiple, (read that as over use), of flashbacks. As a rule a couple are OK, past that it takes you out of the movie and reminds you that your just watching a movie and not experiencing the adventure.
Also I had the feeling that the director wanted to hide the fact that Clark Kent was a Kansas boy after arriving on Earth. He did later in the film let the character actually utter the statement that he was raised in Kansas, but still seemed a reluctant admission by the director.
Also, Superman, in his fighting with Zod, only focused on the battle and never, to my memory, once stopped to save innocent bystanders. (maybe I missed a rescue in there somewhere, but it sure didn't stick out if he did)
Anyhow, only a 5 out of 10 from me on this one.
PS. When did the Kryptonians become stupid? All those outposts in space, and they pull back to the home-world to just die? And what's with the spaceships designed like bugs and then they make the loading ramp to the ships go right up the butt of the bug? Eeewww
