Oblivion
I've been waiting for this one!
One of me friends in another city got to preview this movie last night and she said it was pretty good. She did compare it to a mix of a couple of other movies but I won't repeat those names as I think it might give away too much of the story's direction.
I believe I will go see this on opening weekend. Anyone else thinking of seeing it this weekend?

I went to the theater Sat to watch this.
I give it a 7 out of 10 rating.
Its Hard edged Sci-fi to be sure. But because of the nature of the story they don't get you into or behind the main characters in a deep enough way for you to truly root for the characters. You end up just a spectator instead of a companion along for the ride.
The art of the movie was top notch. The tech was good and believable. When a "behind the scenes art of" book is released I will buy it to add to my collection of movie related books.
Some have said that there is room for a sequel. I have to say if the writing was sharp they could pull it off. But to me, this story is complete as is.
In the end the money I spent to go see this was worth it. I think if you want to get all the good from this movie you need to see it on the silver screen. Unless your TV at home is an 8 foot wall projection unit and its state of the art color and THX sound!

Yeah i went and watched it on the IMAX this weekend with the folks. I definitely liked the special effects and the tech. The aesthetics heavily reminded me of a certain video game who also had a similar "theme' in the story line. I'll PM you with Dennis, so we don't spoil anything.
